Woman dies from SUV crash into tree at George Washington Parkway

A woman has been killed in a crash on the George Washington Parkway south of the Rt. 123 exit, according to Sergeant David Schlosser, U.S. Park Police spokesperson.
The fatal accident occurred off the northbound lanes as an SUV crashed into a tree.
The woman who died was driving. A passenger suffered minor injuries.
Traffic is being diverted at Spout Run, Schlosser says.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units are on the scene with Park Police.
