February 14, 2012 - 10:51 am
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Hagerstown police say three people face disorderly conduct charges after a late-night brawl among about 90 customers at a downtown restaurant.
Police Chief Arthur Smith told The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown Monday that every officer on duty was sent to the Taj India restaurant early Sunday morning.
He says police used pepper spray to quell the disturbance. Police say they arrived around 1:30 a.m. and found a crowd of patrons fighting inside the restaurant.
They say restaurant workers were trying to push people outside. Smith says he referred the matter to the Washington County liquor board.
He says there have been similar incidents at the restaurant in the last several weeks.
