The woman who allegedly went on a crime spree which included several bank robberies and a carjacking pleaded not guilty during a court appearance Friday.

Stephanie Schwab, who some have dubbed the "Blonde Bandit," is accused of a late-2011 crime spree that included robbing two banks and a carjacking. She indicted last week on multiple charges, including robbing banks and transporting a stolen vehicle.

On Friday, Schwab pleaded not guilty to three counts of robbery and three counts of transportation of a stolen vehicle. Her trial date has been set for May 22.

A grand jury indicted Schwab on Feb. 16. She was arrested Nov. 30 after she allegedly tried to rob another bank. Fairfax County Police chased her from Northern Virginia into Montgomery County before she was caught.

She was taken into custody Old Georgetown Road and I-495. When she was caught, she had been driving a Ford Escape with Pennsylvania tags which had been reported as stolen.

Other crimes Schwab is accused of include a Thanksgiving night carjacking near Baltimore and a robbery and another carjacking at a BB&T Bank branch on Old Keene Mill Road.
