Antione Freeman arrested for shooting at Maryland candlelight vigil

A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened at a candlelight vigil in New Carrollton on Friday.
Antione Freeman, 19, of the 7100 block of Webster Street in Landover Hills, is charged with attempted first degree murder.
On February 10, at 7:40 p.m., police were monitoring a memorial vigil in the 5200 block of 85th Avenue regarding the February 6 murder of Chris Smith. A gunshot was heard and the crowd dispersed.
A man was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
