Chinese boy running in snow causes worldwide outrage (Video)
Video footage of a 4-year-old Chinese boy being forced to run nearly naked on a cold, snowy day has sparked outrage around the world.
In the video, which CNN and the National Post reports was shot in Flushing, N.Y. while the family was on vacation from their home in eastern China, the boy cries for help from his parents, but they instead they urge him on.
"Hurry up, run faster," He Liesheng is heard telling his son, nicknamed "Duoduo," while he screams for his parents to hold him.
The father, who calls himself "Eagle Dad" for his accelerated parenting skills, says running in the snow and other techniques make his son stronger.
“This child has received all sorts of forms of training since he was small. When he was one, he started swimming in water that was 21 degrees Celsius," Liesheng told the Agence France-Press.
