Christopher Johnson charged in December Gaithersburg sexual assault
A 21-year-old Montgomery Village man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in a Gaithersburg condominium complex last December.
Montgomery County Police have charged Christopher Johnson with first-degree assault and sex offense, along with an armed robbery charge.
Police allege that on Dec. 7 at about 9:40 p.m., Johnson entered a laundry room at the Potomac Oaks condominium complex in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard, where a cleaning woman was working.
Johnson then allegedly held the victim at knife point and sexually assaulted her. The suspect then fled with several pieces of the woman's personal property.
The suspect apparently got into the building through an unlocked door to the complex.
Detectives used DNA evidence found at the scene to link Johnson to the assault.
Johnson is being held without bond.
