D.C. Police stumble upon skeletal remains during suspect chase
February 23, 2012 - 12:38 pm
D.C. Police on Thursday after noon found skeletal remains in a house after chasing a suspect.
MPD confirmed that an officer was pursuing a suspect when the suspect ran into a home on the 400 block of 24th Street northeast. The officer and a canine went into the house. The officer fell and discovered skeletal remains, which MPD is now investigating.
Neighbors told ABC7’s Stephen Tschida that an elderly man used to live in the house and that they had not seen him in years. Police supposedly came to check on the house about a year ago but when the door was locked they left, neighbors told Tschida.
