Traffic lights out in Dupont Circle
February 27, 2012 - 09:12 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia officials are warning power will be cut to traffic signals in Dupont Circle this week for crews to perform upgrades.
D.C. Department of Transportation officials say power to the traffic lights will be cut Tuesday around 10 a.m. For several hours, traffic control officers will direct drivers instead.
Still, there could be delays on New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut avenues heading through the traffic circle.
The traffic signals are scheduled to be turned back on as normal before the evening rush Tuesday.
