Entrance ramp to Anacostia Freeway to be closed overnight
February 17, 2012 - 06:02 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - An entrance ramp to the Anacostia Freeway is being closed overnight in the District of Columbia, and lane closures will also slow traffic.
Transportation officials are closing the Howard Road, SE entrance ramp to northbound I-295 until 5 a.m. Friday.
Double-right lane closures will also be in effect through 5 a.m. along northbound I-295, between Howard Road and 11th Street, SE.
There'll also be intermittent 20-minute traffic stoppages. The closures are to allow officials to do emergency stripping and sign panel modifications.
Signs for detours will be posted during the ramp closure.
