Johnnie Pablito Kamara arrested in Gar-Field High fight, shooting
A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday night in connection with a shooting that occurred near Gar-Field High School on Friday night.
Prince William County Police say that they've arrested Johnnie Pablita Kamara, who is also known as "Blaze," after a Friday night basketball game turned into a fight and shooting in Dumfries.
A large fight broke out at Gar-Field High School following a basketball game, police said. Police responded and broke up the crowds.
As groups were dispersing, several juveniles regrouped at Potomac Mills Mall. Officers had to be called in to handle these incidents as well. People again dispersed without any injuries or arrests. No fights took place at the mall.
At 10:44 p.m., two groups met up again, this time in the Old Triangle and Heth Court in Dumfries where another fight ensued. A member of one group displayed a hand gun and fired several shots. No one was injured and both groups dispersed.
A vehicle with the shooter went to the area of Old Triangle and Sigel Court where the shooter fired several shots from the vehicle at two people walking on the sidewalk who were not involved in any of the previous incidents.
One of the pedestrians--an 18-year-old woman of Triangle, suffered a graze wound to her head. She was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses were able to provide police with a description of the vehicle and police were able to identify the person whom they believe to be the shooter as Kamara.
