Kim Kardashian divorce trial could be headed to TV
Daybreak Daily’s afternoon layover at the pop-culture airport finds double Ks, a new dad, other things, and the mystery music video.
REALITY TV GETS REAL: Or at least gets exposed, in the mind of Kris Humphries’ divorce lawyer, anyway, who wants the court proceedings about his split with Kim Kardashian to be televised, per TMZ, “Sources tell us ... Kris and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, want to "expose the M.O. of reality TV" by proving Kim had no intention of staying married to him, but just wanted big ratings for her reality show. Now here's the irony. The duo wants to prove their point by asking the judge to allow TMZ and TV stations to broadcast the trial -- something that the judge might find a tad hypocritical ... not that we're complaining.” http://bit.ly/ABGqJc
MEANWHILE: A Kim-and-Kris baseball angle, with the Minnesota Twins stepping to the plate, per the AP, “The team announced Tuesday it will auction off a baseball autographed by reality starlet Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kris Humphries. They signed the ball before a Twins game last July, when the Minnesota native and NBA player Humphries threw out the ceremonial first pitch.” http://apne.ws/y2T9BC
OH, BABY: Robert Downey Jr. is a dad, and, um, swell, per People, “Wife Susan delivered son Exton Elias Downey at 7:24 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Los Angeles, his rep confirms to PEOPLE. “Everyone is healthy and they couldn’t be happier,” a friend of the couple says.” http://bit.ly/ybCMSl
MATERIAL GIRL: Madonna announces world tour, which comes as a complete shock to no one, per Rolling Stone, “The pop icon will kick off the tour with a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel on May 29th, and from there will move on Abu Dhabi and Istanbul before making her way through Europe. She will eventually arrive in North America and conclude that leg in Miami, though specific dates have not yet been revealed.” http://bit.ly/zUZ84M
HUH?: This doesn’t seem to make sense, especially when considering Fox News and MSNBC, per Deadline Hollywood, “Only 69% of adults turned to the tube first for election news last month, the lowest percentage in at least 20 years, according to the weekly surveys taken for the Pew Research Center’s News Interest Index.” http://bit.ly/y58AcD
WHATEVER: It’s news, but. . ., anyway, per Radar, “The Los Angeles County of Department of Children and Family Services is recommending that Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, have another adult present during his custodial time with their three-year-old daughter, Nahla, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.” http://bit.ly/A0uPVh
COMIC BOOKS: Yet another so-called reboot, per E!, “Marvel is unveiling a new Fantastic Four graphic novel this month dubbed Season One, which updates the superhero quartet with a 21st century twist.” http://eonli.ne/yHUO4B
STRIP SHOW: Pictures and video of Maria Menounos, Extra host, paying off her losing Super Bowl bet, per Entertainment Weekly. http://bit.ly/yF5lrl
THE RIVER: New ABC series is gettin’ some love, per the Hollywood Reporter, “Finally, a successor to "Lost" with potential.” http://bit.ly/zuR8Dg
AND FINALLY: Today’s mystery music video. http://bit.ly/zltFGu
