New York Avenue stabbing leaves man dead, one in custody

A man was stabbed and killed Friday morning near Gallaudet University, MPD officials say.

Police say that a suspect is in custody in the stabbing, which occurred in the 1300 block of New York Avenue NE.

Sources tell ABC7's Jennifer Donelan that the incident involved one homeless man stabbing another.

First responders attempted to save the victim at the scene, but he died of his wounds.
