Shanee Cox, 14, missing from Wheaton; Nevaeh Cox, 6-months, found safe
Correction:
An earlier photo that was said to be of 14-year-old Shanee Cox has been retracted by Montgomery County Police.
Police say a 6-month-old child reported missing Thursday in Wheaton has been found safe, but her 14-year-old mother remains missing.
Nevaeh Cox has been reunited with family members, authorities say.
The child's mother, 14-year-old Shanee Cox, still hasn't been seen since Thursday.
Shanee was last seen on Feb. 2 on Georgian Way in Wheaton. Authorities say she may be in need of medical attention.
Shanee is described as an African American female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair that is kept in a pony tail. She was last seen wearing a blue coat, a pink shirt, ripped blue jeans over black leggings, and brown boots.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shanee is asked to call police at (301) 279-8000 or the Family Crimes Division at (301) 773-5400.
