Super Bowl ads: The best part of the Super Bowl?
February 3, 2012 - 05:05 pm
From Ferris Bueller to cheetas - and of course cars, lots of cars – it’s Super Bowl commercial time!
And at $3.5 million per spot, it's the most expensive 30 seconds on television.
So each second Matthew Broderick plays hooky in a Honda CRV commercial, it costs a mind boggling $116,000.
So they gotta be memorable, not to mention humorous. Playing off what's hot and sexy - be it David Beckman hawking underwear or a model selling domain names.
And sharing is key. In fact advertisers are going after lots of little screens, hoping to win the social media war with QR codes and even pre-Super Bowl online ads.
Watch for a number of ads targeting women. Advertising experts say there will be more of them than ever before.
