Two 12-year-old girls hit by van in Gaithersburg, seriously injured

Two 12-year-old girls were hit by a van in Gaithersburg Friday night.
The girls were walking when they were struck in the 600 block of Frederick Avenue. They were taken to a local pediatric trauma center with serious injuries, said Scott Graham a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
One girl was taken in priority one condition with serious injuries and the second girl was transported as a priority patient with serious injuries.
