Unfriending on rise in social media, Pew study says
A new study by the Pew Internet and American Life Project reports that "women and younger users tend to unfriend more than others" and that profile management is up in general compared to 2009 results.
The study said 67 percent of women deleted people from their network whereas 58 percent of men pruned their friends.
About two-thirds of Internet users also use social networking sites, the study said.
