Woman killed in hit-and-run on Maryland Route 5

Maryland State Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Route 5 in Prince George's County early Saturday.
At 12:06 a.m., state police received a call about a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian, according to a news release. Troopers responded and found a woman struck and killed in the narrow left shoulder.
The woman was crossing the northbound lanes of Maryland Route 5 at Surratts Road when she was hit by a vehicle, the release said.
The striking vehicle is possibly a late model Nissan. There were no witnesses.
The pedestrian was a white woman wearing a pair of red sweat pants, a black coat and a black, orange and red sweater.
No other information was immediately available.
