Alfarad Evans killed in Hagerstown shooting
A 36-year old Hagerstown man was killed Monday morning, Hagerstown Police reported.
Alfarad A. Evans was suffering from several gunshot wounds when police arrived at 5:20am Monday at a Linwood Rd. residence. They were responding to a report of shots fired.
The home was built by Habitat for Humanity last year for a woman, ABC7 reports. Evans, who has a New York home address, is also reported to have a substantial criminal history in Maryland, New Jersey and New York, ABC 7’s Brad Bell reports.
Evans was taken to Meritus Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. A female resident present in the home was unharmed during the incident, police said.
Witnesses say that three black males in baggy clothing ran from the home toward Noland Village.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Police Department at 301-790-3700 or via e-mail at crimetip@hagerstownpd.org.
