A 19-year-old Burke man has been charged in connection to a bomb threat made against Annandale High School on Friday morning, police say.

Fairfax County Police have charged Marco Antonio Verduo Toledo, of the 5400 block of Tilalary Court in Burke, with felony threats to bomb and criminal trespass after he allegedly called in threats against the Fairfax County school.

It took authorities several hours to clear a suspicious package that was found on the Annandale High campus at 4700 Medford Drive. Police say found a suspicious item in the front yard of the school after a two threats were phoned about a bomb, including one that was called into ABC7 at about 4:30 a.m.

During a search of the campus, authorities found a suspicious backpack outside the school near a door. Students and staff were not allowed inside the building until the threat was cleared.
