March 14, 2012 - 11:54 am
A bank robbery suspect was caught shortly after he took money from an M&T Bank branch in Bowie on Wednesday morning, police say.
Bowie Police officials say that the robbery happened just before 10 a.m. at the M&T Bank branch at 6960 Laurel Bowie Road, when the suspect allegedly entered the bank with a note announcing the robbery.
Tellers at the bank complied. Witnesses then saw the man leave the area in a green Toyota Camry.
Shortly thereafter, Bowie Police spotted the car and the suspect and arrested him. No one was injured in the robbery and the money was recovered.
