LA PLATA, Md. (AP) - Charles County authorities say a man is suspected of stealing money from vending machines at car washes and gas stations.
The county sheriff's office says the suspect has broken into vending machines at five locations since mid-February. The sites include Extreme Car Wash in La Plata; Age to Age Auto in Hughesville; Speedy Clean Car Wash in Bryans Road; Extreme Car Wash in Waldorf; and the CITGO gas station in Glasva.
Most of the thefts have occurred during the overnight hours.
Authorities say the suspect was driving an older model blue Ford pickup truck with silver trim.
