March 29, 2012 - 06:47 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - If you are an unemployed D.C. resident and at least 55 years old, city officials in the nation's capital want you.
The D.C. Department of Employment Services is hosting a mature workers hiring event Thursday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Northwest Washington from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The agency says it is the first in a series of hiring events to help one of the fastest growing populations - seniors.
