Fairfax County emergency personnel prepare for tornado season with 3-day exercise

WATCH: NewsChannel 8's Kathy Park talks with participants in the drills and with NewsChannel 8 Meteorologist Devon Lucie about what we can expect as the severe weather season begins.
With the start of spring this week, it's also the beginning of the tornado season in the region.
One local jurisdiction is getting ahead of the storms and fighting back by preparing for the worst.
In Fairfax County, emergency managers, police, volunteers, and fire and rescue personnel came together for Operation: Enduring Collaboration---a three-day exercise, of 12-hour shifts, requiring communication and coordination.
