Hundreds rally for Trayvon Martin in D.C., including on Capitol Hill
March 24, 2012 - 12:29 am
Across our region, hundreds rallied in support of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed Florida teen who was shot and killed by a man claiming to be a community watch leader.
On the steps of the Capitol, some congressional staffers wearing hoodies gathered in solidarity.
The NAACP held a vigil tonight with about 200 gathered at the site of Anacostia's iconic chair.
"Trayvon Martin is our son," they chanted Trayvon Martin is our son."
ABC7's Roz Plater reports from Southeast on the rallies and other responses, including from the Miami Heat basketball team.
