Ice, water force closure of northbound New Hampshire Avenue

Two northbound lanes of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring have reopened after a water problem in the area, Montgomery County Police say.
The source of the problem is unclear, but officials say the roadway near the intersection of Jackson Road is completely iced over. All of the northbound lanes were shut down.
No further details were immediately available.
