Joshua L. Fincham arrested on rape, assault allegations

A Culpeper County man wanted on rape and firearm charges was caught and arrested by a SWAT team in Culpeper on Friday.

The Culpeper County Sheriff's Office says that 24-year-old Joshua L. Fincham of Rixeyville, Va. is being held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail on charges of rape, brandishing a firearm and assault.

Authorities say that Fincham was wanted in connection to an incident on Thursday in which a Rixeyville woman reported that she had been raped by a man in her home, then threatened at gunpoint.

Sheriff's investigators say that they were able to located Fincham's vehicle near a home in the 700 block of Willis Lane in Culpeper early Friday morning. He was taken into custody at about 6:30 a.m.
