Kenneth William Mitchell II arrested for shooting girlfriend
A 34-year-old man has been arrested after police say he shot his girlfriend after an argument Friday in North Beach, Md.
Kenneth William Mitchell II is charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Around 2 a.m., officers responded to the 7000 block of Charleston Avenue, where they found a 26-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Earlier, police say the victim and Mitchell got into an argument and he shot her then went to a neighbor’s house for help. The victim soon followed him to the residence.
Mitchell was taken into custody without incident.
The victim is in serious, but stable condition at Prince George’s County Shock Trauma.
The investigation is ongoing.
