March 20, 2012 - 11:16 am
A Bowie woman has been arrested after authorities say she assaulted her parents, threatened to kill her father with a knife and then attempted to jump from a second story window while holding a one-year-old child.
Kyra Chimere Smith is charged with first and second degree assault, second degree child abuse, reckless endangerment and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
Bowie police issued an arrested warrant for Smith after the March 10 incident. She was apprehended from a Largo residence nine days later, on March 19, by Prince George’s County Sheriff’s deputies.
Smith is being held at Prince George’s County Department of Corrections on a $175,000.00 bond.
