Leslie Johnson to begin serving prison sentence

Former Prince George’s County councilwoman Leslie Johnson is scheduled to begin serving her prison sentence Friday.
Johnson was sentenced to a year and a day for her role in a corruption scheme, spear-headed by her husband, former county executive Jack Johnson.
She is expected to serve her time at a federal prison in West Virginia.
Jack Johnson began serving a seven-year sentence in February.
