Metro's most dangerous stations revealed
March 6, 2012 - 06:35 am
Metro released a new report listing the most dangerous stations in the Washington region and an Orange Line station in Northeast Washington topped the list, according to the Washington Examiner.
The Deanwood station topped the list with 67 cases of violent crime last year, the Examiner says.
The Anacostia station came in second, followed by the L’Enfant Plaza, Suitland and College Park stations.
The violent crimes include robbery, rape, auto theft and assault. The report comes just a week after WMATA's five-year crime report revealed a higher crime rate than mass transit systems in New York, Boston and other major cities.
