Michael Bell Jr. forced to wear sandwich board saying he was failing classes
A Miami-area 7th grader got three F's on his most recent report card, and not only do his parents know, but everyone who drove by him on March 10 knows too.
WSVN in Miami reports that Michael Bell, Jr., a Kendall, Fla. middle school student, got a report card just before Spring Break that showed that he was failing math, language arts and civics.
To teach him a lesson, Michael's father outfitted him with a sandwich board, had him stand on a street corner and subjected him to the scorn of the public.
The sign, WSVN says, reads "Hey, I want to be a class clown. Is it wrong?" on one side and "I'm in the 7th grade and got 3 F's. Blow your horn if there's something wrong with that" on the back.
"I'm trying to reach him. He doesn't want to be reached, and this is my last resort," his father, Michael Sr., told WSVN.
