Officer suspended after Monae Turnage, 13, death
March 6, 2012 - 11:53 am
BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say an officer has been suspended for his conduct after the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old girl.
Police confirmed the officer's suspension Tuesday, but would not give more details.
Two boys, ages 12 and 13, have been charged as juveniles with involuntary manslaughter in Monae Turnage's death.
Police say she was shot while the boys played with a rifle and that they hid her body.
Turnage was reported missing early Sunday when she did not return home from skating with friends Saturday night.
Her body was found under trash bags near her home Sunday night.
