SPRINGFIELD, Va. (AP) - Drivers on the Capital Beltway near the Springfield Mixing Bowl will be putting up with overnight closures on the beltway's inner loop this week.

From Tuesday night through Thursday night from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., the inner loop will be closed at the mixing bowl.

The closure will last on Friday night from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. Drivers will be detoured onto I-395 north, then to Edsall Road and back onto I-395 south.

From there, they will be able to get back on the inner loop and continue on to the Tysons Corner area.

Transportation officials are estimating the work will result in delays of 15 to 20 minutes.

Crews will be demolishing an old ramp over the highway as part of the 495 Express Lanes project.
