Updated: March 24, 2012 - 10:29 am
A family is displaced after a four-car collision involving a police cruiser in Manassas.
Authorities say a Manassas City Police Officer was responding to an emergency call for assistance in the area of Buckner Road and Grant Avenue, when he lost control of his vehicle, struck another vehicle and a parked car, before striking a residence on Grant Avenue around 8:50 p.m. Friday.
The police car and an SUV became wedged on the side of the home after the collision.
The cause of the accident has not been determined.
All parties involved were transported to Prince William Hospital for evaluation and released a short time later.
The family has been relocated to a temporary shelter as the property was deemed unsafe. The American Red Cross is assisting them.
An investigation is ongoing.
