March 29, 2012 - 05:01 am
A search is underway for two robbery suspects who led police on a chase from Prince George’s County into D.C.
Officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle at Eastern Avenue and Riggs Road in Chillum around 1 a.m. Thursday and tried to pull them over. A chase ensued and the driver rammed into a police cruiser.
Police say the suspects carjacked the vehicle used in the chase, which was later found at 43rd Street and South Dakota Avenue in Northeast, but they are still on the loose.
Two officers suffered minor injuries.
A handgun was recovered from the suspects' vehicle, police say.
The investigation is ongoing.
