Prince George's police investigating double shooting
March 27, 2012 - 04:03 pm
Prince George’s police are investigating a double shooting in the 7900 block of 24th Avenue in Langley Park.
Two suspects are in custody and one officer was injured, police say. The suspects were taken into custody at 43rd Avenue and East West Highway.
Law enforcement sources said the shooting may have stemmed from a robbery of two victims believed to be homeless.
During the robbery, one suspect shot a victim in the behind and the other victim was shot in the thigh.
One Prince George's County police officer suffered cuts while putting his hand through a car window that was broken.
Police say a 1 and 1/2-year-old baby was in the back seat of the suspect's vehicle. The baby is reportedly in good health.
