Princess, dog injured in dog fighting, now recovering
Princess, a pit bull terrier likely severely injured from dog fighting, is now recovering from her injuries.
Princess was found on Ritchie Highway near 11th Avenue in Brooklyn Park on March 3 and was brought to the Anne Arundel Animal Control office the next morning. She was found less than five miles from where another “bait dog,” Rocky Road, was discovered in February. Authorities are now offering $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible.
Authorities believe that Princess’s injuries were consistent with that of a dog used as a "bait dog" to train other dogs to fight.

Princess will remain at the Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital during her treatment and then will be released to the SPCA.
Rocky Road, meanwhile, is doing very well and is expected to be released to a rescue house soon.
