“There are no words to describe the nightmare my family and I have been living everyday,” Christine Levinson said.

Retired FBI agent Robert Levinson disappeared in March 2007—a day after arriving on Kish Island in Iran. So far, no demands have been made.

“That’s why we are here, to announce a one million dollar reward for information leading directly to the location and the safe recovery and return of Bob Levinson,” said FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Levinson’s family says he was in Iran investigating cigarette smuggling for a corporate client. Strangely enough, the night before he disappeared, Levinson met Dawud Salahuddin, an American wanted for assassinating Ali Akbar Taba-Tabai, a loyalist to the deposed Shah of Iran, in Bethesda in 1980.

Salahuddin posed as a mailman delivering a package. The FBI has launched a publicity campaign--including a photo of what Levinson might look like today—vowing to keep up the search.
