WASHINGTON (AP) - A parade of pachyderms is coming to the nation's capital.
Half a dozen elephants from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus are expected to parade down the streets of Washington on Tuesday.
The animals are on their way to the city's Verizon Center where they will be taking part in the circus' "Fully Charged" show.
The show will be at the Verizon center from Thursday through Sunday. The circus is also scheduled for the Patriot Center in Fairfax in early April.
The elephant parade is expected to begin around 8 p.m. at Virginia and New Jersey avenues southeast.
