Rush Limbaugh calls Georgetown Law student a 'slut' and a 'prostitute'
Rush Limbaugh is at the center of a new controversy tonight, tying himself to Georgetown University and the battle over insurance and contraceptives.
Limbaugh lambasted Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown Law School student, who two weeks ago was blocked by Republicans from testifying before a Capitol Hill hearing on religious freedom and contraception, even though she was invited by Democrats on the committee to testify.
Saying that Fluke wanted the government to pay her to have sex, Limbaugh called Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute."
Politico reports that House Speaker John Speaker John Boehner denounced Limbaugh's statement.
“The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation,” Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said, according to Politico.
