Ryan Zimmerman has high hopes for Nationals
March 1, 2012 - 07:54 pm
When Ryan Zimmerman was drafted by the Nationals back in 2005, he left the University of Virginia with a quick glove, soft hands and a powerful bat.
It's hard to believe, but Zimmerman has gone from young up-and comer to grizzled veteran.
Now beginning his eighth year as a Nat (counting the 20 games he played in 2005), Zimmerman has racked up virtually every accolade--All Star, Silver Slugger, and Gold Glove--and just this week he signed a $100 million extension through 2019.
He spoke with ABC7's Britt McHenry.
