Daybreak Daily’s afternoon sit-down at the pop-culture swimming pool finds sunbathers, a former Alaska governor, other things, and the mystery music video.

BIKINI BOD: Summer’s on the way, per the Huffington Post, “Is life imitating art for Selena Gomez? The 19-year-old stripped down to her bikini to catch some Florida sun during a little down time while filming her forthcoming flick, "Spring Breakers." "Need sun again," Gomez tweeted, along with a photo of herself sporting a multicolored bikini -- with matching hair to boot -- and sipping on a refreshing smoothie.” http://huff.to/wfFPBW

MEANWHILE: Of expensive tastes, per TMZ, “Justin Bieber is still on the hunt for an L.A. home, but he definitely has NOT put an offer on the $10+ million home Ashton Kutcher is currently renting. Zillow.com and the Daily Mail are reporting Justin's buying the Ashton house. Not true.” http://bit.ly/x2LydD

GAME CHANGE: Really good read about how Julianne Moore prepped for the lead role, per the Los Angeles Times, “Moore wiped her calendar clean, except for a few events with her 14-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter and husband, the director Bart Freundlich. She cleared her iPod of almost everything but audio recordings of Palin's books, which the politician recorded in her own voice. She consumed so much Palin via YouTube, print and recording that her son asked, "What's wrong with you, mom?" http://lat.ms/wWrAKL

THE DARK SIDE: Come on, people, per Radar, “A shocking racial slur against President Barack Obama is just one of the many explosive allegations in a bombshell lawsuit against celebrity chef Paula Deen and her brother, Bubba Hiers.” http://bit.ly/zjcq24

DICK AND JANE?: The world waits, per People, “Newly engaged Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is still in the early stages of her pregnancy, but she already has a list of names in mind for her baby.” http://bit.ly/zRKHQu

WHITNEY’S KID: Don’t dismiss the ‘O’ factor, per PerezHilton, “So, it turns out Bobbi Kristina didn't agree to do an interview with Oprah because of the money. She said yes to do her first interview after her mom Whitney Houston died because she trusts Oprah as a close family friend.” http://bit.ly/Ap7DtS

SHE’S A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY: But no football, per Deadline, “After lengthy negotiations, Friday Night Lights alumna Connie Britton has closed a deal to star in ABC’s drama pilot Nashville. Written by Callie Khouri, directed by R.J. Cutler and produced by Lionsgate and ABC Studios, Nashville is described as a family soap about love, country music, family, politics and sex set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene.” http://bit.ly/w3Uixs

A GOOD FRIEND: Sammy Hagar rembers Ronnie Montrose in first-person form, per Rolling Stone, “I've got to tell you, for [1973's Montrose] being my first album I had ever been involved with my life, to have something that's that classic to still stand up, and it's still in my opinion one of the best recording projects I've ever been involved in - that's all due to Ronnie.” http://bit.ly/yC1Fn5

A GOOD FRIEND II: How it should be, per E!, “Their marriage may not have worked out, but Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are clearly in this friendship for the long haul. E! News has exclusively learned the actor has reached out to his estranged wife since she left her nearly monthlong stint in rehab last week and that the duo has been in contact.” http://eonli.ne/xJ5uhk

WOW: We’re talking major makeover, per the Insider, “Katy Perry's guest spot on tonight's episode of Raising Hope is sure to raise some unplucked eyebrows as her look is a far cry from the overly styled singer we've come to love ever since she first applied that lipgloss and kissed a girl.” http://bit.ly/wd6VQb

GROUNDED?: The not-so-friendly skies, per the Los Angeles Times, "Pan Am" may be going the way of Pan Am. ABC's period piece about the 1960s glamour days of jet travel needed to post big ratings in its Sunday finale to stay a contender for renewal next season. But the show just didn't have the engine thrust to do it. A piddling 3.9 million viewers tuned in to the show's Season 1 farewell, according to early data from Nielsen (final numbers will come Wednesday).” http://lat.ms/yZe6KO
