Spike Lee tweets George Zimmerman's address, but it's the wrong house
Chalk this up to a scary case of mistaken identity.
MSNBC reports that a Sanford, Fla. couple has been forced to move into a hotel after several people, including Spike Lee, tweeted their address, saying it's where George Zimmerman lived.
The case of mistaken identity took root, MSNBC says, in that the couple, David and Elaine McLean, have a son with the Zimmerman surname. His middle name is George, they say.
Amongst the tweeters of the address was Lee, who has nearly 250,000 followers.
The actual George Zimmerman in question has admitted to the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin but claims it was in self-defense. Protests and demands for his arrest have continued ever since the shooting.
Zimmerman has not yet been charged for his role in the shooting and has repeatedly claimed that the shooting death of the teenager was in self-defense.
