Steffon Rodney Christian indicted in alleged sex abuse case
March 6, 2012 - 01:25 pm
A former Manassas teacher’s aide charged with child sexual assault is now facing a 63-count indictment related to an investigation that spans three decades.
Steffon Rodney Christian was indicted Tuesday by a Prince William County grand jury. He was initially charged with four counts of forcible sodomy against a juvenile after a male victim, now an adult, reported the abuse in the wake of the Penn State sexual abuse scandal.
Police said Tuesday that additional victims have now come forward.
Manassas school officials say Christian was hired as a kindergarten aide in 1981, then transitioned to a library assistant. He hasn't worked for Manassas schools since 1999.
