One day after the one month anniversary of the death of their son, Trayvon Martin's parents are coming to Capitol Hill for a hearing on racial profiling, a growing topic surrounding this case.

“I know I cannot bring my baby back but I’m sure going to make changes so this does not happen to another family,” said Trayvon’s mother, Sybrina Fulton.

Last night in Sanford, Florida, the two were defensive at a town hall meeting after new information about Martin's background was released, including the fact that at the time of the shooting, Martin had been suspended from school for 10 days for marijuana possession.

“It tears me apart to sit here and listen to the slander they're giving to my son,” said Trayvon’s father Tracy Martin.

This comes as the rally cry for justice grows. The fact that the man at the center of all of this, George Zimmerman, hasn't been arrested has sparked students at D.C.’s School Without Walls to get involved.

Tuesday afternoon, they will march to the White House—asking authorities to take action.

“To know that Trayvon is the same age as me and looks like me, it really let me know that we needed to do something,” said high school senior Kristin Ellis.
