Winston Education Campus stabbing leaves student hospitalized

A student at Winston Education Campus stabbed another student in the face with a pencil, a police source told ABC7.
MPD said officers were called to the scene for a simple assault. The school, for pre-K through eighth grade, is located in the 3000 block Erie Street SE.
Authorities said two 6th grade girls got into a fight and one stabbed the other in the face with a pencil. The girl who was stabbed was treated and released from a local hospital. The other girl was taken into custody.
