April 9, 2012 - 05:03 pm
WASHINGTON (AP) - Authorities say four people were thrown from rented paddleboats into Washington's Tidal Basin when the boats were pushed up against a bridge abutment amid windy conditions.
D.C. fire officials helped employees of the paddleboat company pull the people from the water Monday afternoon.
Fire officials say one person was taken to a hospital as a precaution, but there were no serious injuries.
