Autistic boy, 11, drowns in Stafford County pond

An 11-year-old autistic boy drowned in a pond in Stafford County on Monday afternoon.
Stafford County Sheriff’s Office say the child was pulled from the water near Landmark Road and Snow Driver shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.
On arrival, a man was observed administering CPR to the child. Sheriff’s deputies also tried to resuscitate the boy, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The boy's name hasn't been released.
