The man charged in an April 20 crash on Logmill Road crash that killed two teenage girls was found not guilty of manslaughter charges Tuesday. But he was found guilty of reckless driving.

A jury rendered the reckless driving verdict against 19-year-old Christopher Suarez, who was behind the wheel when his car slammed into a deer, then a tree, while riding on the hilly Prince William County Road.

The crash killed two 15-year-old Battlefield High School students - Kendra Tucker and Savannah Mauritidis. Suarez had been facing charges of involuntary manslaughter for the deaths of both girls.

Two other teenagers were injured in the crash, which happened late at night when the 2005 Dodge Magnum Suarez was driving hit a deer, spun out and careened into a tree. During testimony, prosecutors say that Suarez was driving 68 miles per hour.

After the crash, police said that none of the five people inside the car were wearing seatbelts. In the immediate aftermath, VDOT vowed to flatten the road.
