D.C. brush fire injures firefighter

WASHINGTON (AP) - Authorities a firefighter was injured while battling a brush fire in southeast Washington that burned one acre of land.
Officials say firefighters were called to the fire in a wooded area at Pennsylvania Avenue and Branch Avenue just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
One firefighter was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
No other injuries were reported.
There was no damage to any homes or structures.
